NEW CONSTRUCTION INSTALLATION
STEP 1:
Make sure the POWER is TURNED OFF in which you are installing the
product;
STEP 2:
Choose CCT & lumens that you want by dip switch. See Figure 1.
STEP 3:
Cut a hole in the ceiling at the chosen location. Size the hole based on
minimum cutout size for the luminaire being installed as shown in Table
1 on the first page.
STEP 4:
Attach the carabiner safety clip to the existing junction box. See
Figure 7.
STEP 5:
Insert conduit from lamp and emergency driver (if present) into the
J-box and wire to the power source per the Electrical Connections
section. See Figure 8. If emergency driver accessory is being used,
mount test switch/indicator light in ceiling in close proximity to junction
box. Connect quick connector on end of cord from test switch/indicator
light to mating quick connector on end of cord in junction box. Reattach
junction box cover when finished.
NOTE: Total lead length from junction box to test switch/indicator light is
approximately 14 inches.
STEP 6:
Squeeze the two housing clips so they are in an upright position and
insert lamp into opening. See Figure 9.
STEP 7:
Once lamp is inside the opening, release the housing clips and continue

EMERGENCY DRIVER CHECK (FOR LUMINAIRES EQUIPPED
WITH EMERGENCY DRIVER ACCESSORY)
NOTE: The emergency driver and AC driver must be fed from the same
branch circuit.
NOTE: For short-term testing of the emergency function, the battery
must be charged for at least one hour. The emergency driver must be
charged for at least 24 hours before conducting a long-term test.
The integrated self-diagnostic circuitry will automatically conduct
monthly 30-second and annual 90-minute tests to verify proper
emergency capability per Life Safety Code requirements.
For manual testing, press the test button to cut the power to the AC
driver and switch the system to emergency mode. Release the test
button to return to normal mode. Switch off the circuit breaker to
simulate a full power outage.
