The Axio Observer microscope is delivered in a
partially assembled condition. It can be set up and
calibrated by the customer himself or through the
ZEISS service. Please refer to chapter INSTALLATION
of the complete Axio Observer and Definite Focus 2
operating manuals.
The following switching on sequence must be
followed strictly:
• To switch on Definite Focus.2 initially switch on
the power switch (Fig. 2/7) on the rear of Focus
Controller.2.
• Then start Definite Focus.2 via the On/Off push-
button (Fig. 3/1) on the front panel of the
controller. A beep will indicate that the system
has been switched on. While Definite Focus.2 is
booting, the blue LED of the on/off push-button
flashes and the current state of the device
appears on the display.
• Switch on the Axio Observer microscope after
starting Definite Focus.2 (see also the complete
operating manual of the microscope).
