2. If only one pump will be operated in the system, it is usually installed
where the bilge water level is the highest with the vessel trimmed out.
The system shall permit complete emptying of the hose.
3. Stainless steel bolts are recommended with a length which will prevent
penetration through the hull!
4. Seal the bolt holes with a marine-grade sealant to prevent flooding.
5. Install the pump by removing the motor assembly, which is done by
twisting it against the direction shown by the arrow.
6. Install the appliance in the selected location using two bolts.
7. Reinstall the motor assembly by twisting it on in the direction shown by
the arrow.
8. Connect the piping to the discharge nozzle and secure with a stainless
steel hose clip. Standard piping is recommended as they are resistant to
torsion if suddenly bent.
9. To prevent electrolysis-induced corrosion of wiring connections, all wiring
tips and terminals shall be sealed with a heavy-duty marine-grade sealant
and installed above the maximum possible water level.
10. Use 18 AWG wiring to install the pump. Smaller wiring gauges will result
in adverse overheating of the wire cores, voltage drops, and poor
performance of the pump.
11. The hose shall be installed horizontally or with an uninterrupted slope
upward away from the pump to eliminate air pockets.
WARNING! Do not penetrate through the hull when drilling the mounting
holes!
