Do not touch the high-power quartz radiators with metallic objects. Make sure
that food does not come into contact with the radiators.
•
Never immerse the device in water.
•
Keep a distance of 10 cm around the unit from walls and other objects.
•
Never use the unit if it has previously malfunctioned, for example, if it has
been dropped or damaged in any other way.
•
The manufacturer is not liable for damage caused by the appliance being used
in a way other than described or by a handling error.
•
To avoid injury, repairs, such as replacing a damaged cable, must only be
carried out by qualifi ed personnel. Contact the manufacturer, customer
service, an authorised specialist company or a similarly qualifi ed person. Only
original spare parts may be used.
•
The device becomes very hot during use. Do not transport the unit until it has
cooled down completely.
•
The appliance must not be wrapped in aluminium foil (danger of heat build-
up!).
•
Do not place any materials such as paper, cardboard, plastic, etc. inside the
appliance.
•
The device is not intended for commercial use, only for household and
similar use. These include kitchens in offi ces, farms, hotels, motels and
establishments off ering bed & breakfast.
Before fi rst use
CAUTION
Fire hazard! The unit becomes very hot. Do not place the device on
sensitive surfaces (e.g. painted furniture) and keep a minimum
distance of 70 cm from easily combustible materials.

Carefully clean all parts of the appliance - except the heating elements - and
allow them to dry. Heat the appliance for about 15 minutes to eliminate the
new smell.
•
Steam may escape while the appliance is in use. Keep your hands and face
away.
•
If an extension cable is used, it must have a cross-section of 1.5 mm². If you
use a cable drum, it must always be completely unwound.
•
If a GS-approved (safety-tested) 16 A multiple socket strip is used, it must not
be loaded with more than 3680 watts due to fi re hazard.
•
Make sure that children do not pull on the mains cable and that it is laid in
such a way that it cannot become a trip hazard.
•
Unplug the appliance when it is not under supervision, before removing or
inserting parts and before cleaning.
•
Never prepare food with a high fat content in the appliance, as fat can easily
ignite on the heating elements. Always use the stainless steel lifter and oven
gloves to remove the food.
•
Clean the appliance after each use to prevent bacteria and mould growth.
•
Always slide the crumb tray under the lower heating element.
