Application
Operation is possible in conjunction with:
• Pressurized storage heaters
• Thermally controlled instantaneous heaters
• Hydraulically controlled instantaneous heaters
Operation with low-pressure storage heaters (displacement water
heaters) is not possible.
Specifications
• Max. flow
• Flow pressure
- min.
- recommended
- greater than 72.5 psi, fit pressure
reducing valve
• Max. operating pressure
• Test pressure
• Temperature
- max. (hot water inlet)
- handle rotation stop available (oder No. 46 308)
• Water connection
• Deck thickness max.
• Non reversible cartridge
Notes:
- Major pressure differences between hot and cold water supply
should be avoided.
- To be installed according to local codes and regulations.
- This fitting shall not be recessed more than one-half inch below
the flood level of the fixture (-CL-).
- This faucet is not intended for the use with portable appliances.
Installation
Flush pipes thoroughly.
Prepare sink unit
Refer to the dimensional drawing on fold-out page I.
Mount faucet on sink
Tighten threaded flange against washers by hand (fingertight), see
fold-out page II, fig. [1].
Tighten flathead screws with screwdriver, see fig. [2].
Note:
If brace (A) is omitted, deck thickness can be increased by 1/2" to a
total of 2 15/16".
Feed the spray hose (B) through the mixer body from above, see
fig. [2].
Connect faucet
For this purpose the supply tubes must be connected to the angle
stops (or other supply points), see fig. [1].
The hot water supply should be connected on the left (marked red),
the cold water supply on the right side (marked blue).
Avoid cross connection. The cartridge is not reversible.
We recommend using flexible pressure hoses to faciliate assembly
or for extension purposes.
Connect the spray hose (B), see figs. [3] to [5].
1. Connect the handspray (C) without using any additional seals,
see fig. [3].
2. With handspray inserted, slide spring (D) from below onto spray
hose (B).
3. Screw quick coupling (E) with O-ring (F) on the spray hose (B).
Hand tighten only!
4. Push the sleeve (E1) of the quick coupling (E) downwards and fit
the quick coupling to the union (G), see fig. [4].
To ensure that the handspray (C) is correctly seated when inserted,
lug (H) on the outlet must engage in recess on the handspray (J),
see fig. [5].

Turning off the mixer automatically diverts the water flow from spray
176 °F
jet to flow regulator.
Flow rate limiter
hot - LH
cold - RH
This mixer is fitted with a flow rate limiter, permitting an infinitely
2 15/16"
individual variable limiting of the flow rate. The highest possible flow
rate is set by the factory before shipping.
To limit the flow rate please proceed as follows:
1. Lever out plug (K), see fig. [7].
2. Loosen set screw (L) using a 3mm (1/8") allen wrench.
3. Pull off lever (M).
4. Unscrew cap (N).
5. Change flow rate by turning hexagon socket screw clockwise
with a 1.5mm allen wrench. Turn clockwise (to reduce flow) or
anticlockwise (to increase flow), see fig. [6].
Assemble in reserve order.
Maintenance
Shut off the hot and cold water supply!
I. Cartridge, see fig. [7].
1. Lever out plug (K).
2. Loosen set screw (L) using a 3mm (1/8") allen wrench.
3. Pull off lever (M).
4. Unscrew cap (N).
5. Remove screws (O) and detach complete cartridge (P).
6. Change either the complete cartridge (P) or seals (P1).
Assemble in reserve order.
Make sure that the cartridge seals (P1) engage in the grooves on
the housing. Fit screws (O) and tighten evenly and alternately.
II. Double-ball vacuum breaker, see fig. [7].
1. Proceed as for Maintenance of cartridge, points 1 - 5.
2. Pull out and replace double-ball vacuum breaker (S).
Assemble in reverse order.
Check, clean and if necessary replace parts.
Grease with special valve grease (Cat.No. 18 012).
Replacement parts, see fold-out page I ( * = special accessories).
Care
Instructions for care of this single lever faucet will be found in the
Limited Warranty supplement.
= open (water flow)
= closed (off)
= cold water
= hot water
= changeover to spray jet
= changeover from spray
to flow regulator
The use of flow rate limiters in combination with
hydraulic instantaneous water heaters is not
recommended.
