Visible red light: Align the sender (GSO20G) with the receiver (GEO20). Select the
position so that the red emitted light beam hits the receiver. Tip: Use white paper or a
reflector as an alignment aid. The sender must have a clear view of the receiver (paper
or reflector). There must be no object in the path of the beam [see
ensure that the optical openings (front screen) of the sensors are completely clear.
Infrared light: Align the sender (GSO20M) with the receiver (GEO20). Select the position
so that the infrared light (not visible) hits the receiver. The correct alignment can only
be identified via the LEDs. See
view of the receiver. There must be no object in the path of the beam. You must ensure
that the optical openings (front screen) of the sensors are completely clear.

GSE20 are through-beam photoelectric sensors that can be used at shorter distances,
in particular due to the large sensing range or the very high operating reserve.
Check the application conditions: Adjust the distance between the sensor and the
reflector according to the relevant diagram [see
(x = sensing range, y = operating reserve).
