Electronic Protection System
Li‑Ion tools are designed with an Electronic Protection System that will protect the battery
against overloading, overheating or deep discharge. The tool will automatically turn off and
the battery will need to be recharged.

Important Charging Notes

1. The tool may become warm to the touch while charging. This is a normal condition, and
does not indicate a problem. To facilitate the cooling of the tool after use, avoid placing
the tool in a warm environment such as in a metal shed or an uninsulated trailer.
2. If the tool does not charge properly, take the tool to your local service center.
3. You may charge a partially used battery whenever you desire with no adverse effect on
the tool.
ASSEMBLY AND ADJUSTMENTS

WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, turn unit off and keep
away from the trigger before making any adjustments or removing/installing
attachments or accessories. An accidental start‑up can cause injury.
Removing and Installing Head (Fig. C)
1. To remove head, pull release button
2. To install, line up head with ribs
place. Gently tug on head and verify that it is locked onto tool.
D‑Blade: For cutting rigid tougher materials such as solid cardboard, plastic sheets, and
tin sheets.
O‑Blade: For cutting flexible, softer materials such as cotton fabric, corrugated cardboard, felt,
carpet backing, and rose stems.
OPERATION

attachments or accessories. An accidental start‑up can cause injury.

WARNING: Cut hazard. Keep all body parts away from blades.

WARNING: Always use proper eye protection that conforms to ANSI Z87.1(CAN/ CSA
Z94.3) while operating this power tool.
nOTE: Before cutting any type of material, be sure it is firmly anchored or clamped to
prevent slipping.
1. Always hold cutter firmly while cutting.
2. Lightly place blade against work to be cut as shown in Fig. D.
