You should not use steam cleaners.
Connection to the mains
Fig. 9
The induction hob must be connected to the mains by a suitably qualified person.
Before connecting the hob to the mains, check that:
1.
Your home wiring system is suitable for the power consumption of the cooking hob.
2.
The mains voltage matches the voltage stated on the rating label of the appliance.
3.
The power cable sections can withstand the load specified on the product rating
label.
To connect the hob to the mains, do not use adapters, reducers or branching devices, as
-
they may cause overheating or fire.
-
The power cable should not be in contact with any hot parts and must be positioned so
that its temperature does not exceed 75°C at any time.
Warning
Check with an electrician whether your home wiring system is suitable without modifying it.
Any modifications should only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
The power supply must be connected in accordance with the relevant regulations. The
connection method is shown in Fig. 9
-
If the cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, the supplier or similarly
qualified personnel in order to avoid a hazard.
-
If the appliance is connected directly to the mains, a single-pole residual current circuit
breaker with a minimum contact separation of 3 mm must be installed.
-
The person in charge of the installation must ensure that a correct electrical connection
has been made and that it complies with safety regulations.
-
Do not bend or press the cable.
-
Check the cable for damage regularly.
-
The yellow/green wire of the power supply cable must be earthed both in the power
supply terminals and the device.
The manufacturer shall not be liable for accidents resulting from the use of an ungrounded
-
or improperly grounded appliance.
-
If the appliance has a power socket, it must be installed in such a way that the socket is
accessible.
Note:
The bottom surface and the power cable of the hob should not be accessible after installation.

4. OPERATION
The induction hob works by electromagnetic vibrations that generate heat directly in the
cookware, rather than indirectly by heating the surface of the glass. Glass heats only because
the frying pan eventually heats it up.

Touch controls
-
The buttons react to touch, so there is no need to apply any pressure.
-
Use the base of your finger, not the tip. Fig. 11
-
You will hear a beep every time the hob detects a finger.
-
Make sure the buttons are always clean, dry and there are no objects (for example, a
utensil or a cloth) covering them. Even a thin film of water can make it difficult to operate
the buttons.
Selection of the suitable cookware
Use only cookware with a suitable base for induction hobs.
-
-
Look for the induction symbol on the packaging or on the bottom of the cookware.
You can check if your cookware is suitable with a magnet test. Move a magnet towards
the cookware base (Fig. 12). If the cookware attracts it, this means that it is suitable for the
induction hob. If you do not have a magnet:
1.
Pour some water in the cookware you wish to check and place it over one of the
cooking areas.
2.
If
does not appear on the display flashing and water heats up, the frying pan is
suitable.
Cookware manufactured with the following materials are not suitable: pure stainless steel,
aluminium or copper without magnetic base, glass, wood, china, ceramics and earthenware.
-
Do not use kitchen utensils with serrated edges or with a curved base. Fig. 13
-
Make sure the base of the cookware is smooth, flat against the glass and has the same
size than the cooking area. Use cookware whose diameter is the same as the cooking area
selected. The use of a slightly wider cookware will increase the efficiency of the energy
used. If you use a smaller pot, efficiency will be affected. The hob may not detect a pot
smaller than 140 mm. Always centre the frying pan in the cooking area. Fig. 14
-
Always lift the cookware off the induction hob, do not slide it, as it could scratch the glass.
