Important Safety Instructions (Read All Instructions)
z
Never use this equipment in any manner not specified
in these instructions because your protection may be
impaired.
z
NEVER aim the flashlight in the direction of
another human being. It is meant for professional
fluorescent inspections ONLY!
Do not look directly into the light. ALWAYS Wear the UV-absorbing protective glasses provided when operating the
LeakTracker™ Plus Rechargeable. Use in low-light conditions to achieve the best inspection results.
For best results, use flashlight with any of the Spectroline
(Oil-Glo Ultra, Water-Glo Ultra, Gas-Glo Ultra, or Aero-Brite Ultra) to find leaks.
Fast, Easy Leak Detection:
1. Add the appropriate fluorescent dye and run the system to circulate (see instructions included with dyes).
2. Scan the system with the flashlight while wearing the UV-absorbing glasses. You will easily see the precise location
of every leak by its bright fluorescent glow. For best results, use in low-light conditions.
3. TO OPERATE: Press the left button once to turn the flashlight on. Press it again to turn the flashlight off.
Rechargeable battery and charger are included.

CARE AND USE OF LITHIUM-ION (Li-ion) BATTERIES
z
Do not allow Li-ion batteries to fully discharge frequently, since this will put a strain on the batteries. They will work
more efficiently on multiple partial discharges through regular use (every 2-3 weeks), and frequent recharges.
z
Remove the battery from the lamp and store it separately. Before prolonged storage (30 days or more), charge
the battery for at least two hours. Store partially charged for best results.
z
Store in a fairly cool environment away from sunlight, heat and humidity. Store the battery at temperatures
between 5°C - 20°C (41°F - 68°F). NOTE: The battery self-discharges during storage. Higher temperatures
(above 20 °C or 68 °F) will reduce the battery storage life.
z
Lithium-Ion batteries are subject to disposal and recycling regulations that vary by country and region. Always
check and follow your applicable regulations before disposing of any battery.
REPLACING THE BATTERY: Unscrew the
head of the lamp to gain access to the battery.
Remove the lithium-ion battery and reinstall with
the side marked with both positive/negative +
facing toward the charging port. Secure top and
test the lamp.
WARNING: The lithium-ion battery is custom for the SPI-LTPR and using another manufacturer's replacement parts
could damage the lamp and or affect product performance. Be sure to use genuine Spectronics replacement parts or
you will void the warranty.
z
DO NOT attempt to modify the lens assembly or
light output. Doing so may alter the performance and
intensity of the LeakTracker™ Plus Rechargeable and
render the item out of compliance.
