Release the pressure in unconnected hoses and tools (CORE™ system)
This accessory is available for the CORE™ system and is supplied with every pump as a standard.
NOTICE
We recommend to keep more than one of these tools at hand.
See Fig. 8.
Hook the pressure relief tool over the male coupler (1).
Turn the knob clockwise (2) to release the pressure. Some oil will be released.
Turn the knob counterclockwise (3).
Remove the pressure relief tool from the coupler (4).

Use
6.1
General
The equipment of a rescue system must always be ready for use. That means the equipment must be
checked and inspected directly after use before it is stored.
WARNING
Make sure you are up to date on all safety regulations and that you have mastered the use of
all equipment of the system you are going to work with.
Never try to connect or disconnect hydraulic couplers if the equipment is being used or if the
system is under pressure.
6.2

Before use

Unroll the hose.
Connect the hydraulic hose to the tool and the pump. Refer to section 5.2.
Start the pump.
The system is now ready for use.
6.3

During use

Place the toe of the door opener in front of the gap between the door and its frame.
Ensure to place the door opener as close as possible to the lock.
Make sure the toe is inserted over the whole width.
Use a hammer to knock the toe to at least the first prong into the slit.
CAUTION
Partial or insufficient support for the toe and/or foot can lead to damage and/or fracture.
WARNING
Do not stand right in front of the tool.
Do not touch the toe or foot of the tool when the tool is used.
Operate the pump and hold the door opener to prevent it from falling when the door opens.
