5 Work instructions and safety precautions

Trainees should work with the components and systems only under the supervision
of an instructor.
·
Observe the specifications included in the datasheets for the individual
components, in particular all safety instructions!
·
Wear personal protective equipment (safety goggles, safety shoes) when working
on circuits.
Risk of death due to electric shock!
Only circuits are permitted where direct or indirect contact with dangerous voltages
is not possible.

Only use safety laboratory cables with adequate insulation and electric
strength.

Use safety sockets with fully shrouded contact points.

The protective grounding conductor (green-yellow) must not be interrupted.
–
The protective grounding conductor must be connected to the protective
grounding conductor system of the building.
–
Do not connect voltage sources one after the other (series connection).
–
Use safe extra low voltage (PELV) power sources.
–
Disconnect from all sources of electrical power. Please note that electrical
energy may be stored in individual components.
