The disposable blade has a limited shelf life. Check this on the disposable blade packaging.
Charge your device during longer storage periods to protect the battery from discharge or
store the battery and the device separate from each other.
Let the device accommodate to ambient conditions when it is cold.
The device may steam up if the environment is very warm or the device cools down.
If the device is steamed up, wait until the device is ready for use or wipe the affected areas.
Note to the user and/or patient:
All serious incidents that occur in connection with the product must be reported to
HEINE Optotechnik GmbH & Co. KG and the member state's competent authority.
Please check the display of the video laryngoscope during the charging process to see if
the device is charging.
General Warnings
Only trained personnel may use the video laryngoscope for intubation.
Check that the device is working properly before each use. In particular, check the
illumination and the live image. Do not use the device if you notice moisture in it or damage.
Do not use the device in fire- or explosive risk area.
This product is not allowed to enter or be used in areas with strong magnetic fields
e.g. MRI scanners.
Do not modify the device.
Use only original HEINE parts, spare parts, accessories and power sources.
Repairs shall only be carried out by qualified persons.
Do not use the device including its accessories outdoors.
Please ensure that a HEINE disposable blade is on the handle before using the video
laryngoscope.
Do not use the device for transillumination of tissue.
Do not shine directly in the eyes to avoid dazzle, especially if the pupils are dilated.
Do not use the laryngoscope for eye reflex testing.
Check the disposable blade for sharp corners, edges and rough surfaces before use.
Switch off the device following use.
Do not short-circuit the device!
Never use a power supply with damaged housing or cable
Heating during operation is normal and harmless.
All load-bearing elements of the device are to be loaded only in the manner intended.
Dropping the unit or mounting accessories can cause injury and damage to property.
Check at regular intervals whether the wall mounting and the mounting accessories are in
proper condition. In particular, make sure that all screws are firmly tightened.
Danger of fatal electric shock!
Use power supply in dry environment only. Avoid splashing water. Do not immerse in liquids.
Never modify a power supply or open its housing.
Connect the power supply to a regular outlet only.
Protect connectors from moisture.
Never carry the power supply by its electrical cable or pull at the cable.
For separating the connection always pull on the plug, never on the cable.
Cables must be installed safely to avoid tripping over.
