8 Assembly Instructions

Remove Surplus
1. Locally flatten plaster cast where valve is
to be fitted.
2. Fit a Stump Sock and Latex Cone over
the cast.
3. Locate Recessing Disc and retain in
position with double sided tape.
1. Apply first vacuum to form sock and
cone onto cast, then place the valve
housing in required position using
double sided tape.
2. Insert Plastazote into valve housing,
taking care not to obscure the 4 off
breather holes.
3. Locally prick through latex, inside and
outside valve housing.
4. O-ring to be carefully stretched (not
rolled) onto groove on housing.
1. Drape socket, if required build down to
allow for outer socket to be fabricated.
Tie off around the valve body to ensure
a good seal between the valve body and
socket.
2. Drill a 6mm hole through the centre
of the Valve Housing, insert airline and
remove socket from cast.
3. Remove surplus material from Valve
Housing as indicated (flush with housing)
and remove Plastazone plug. Screw in
Valve Body Assembly.
4. Ensure that the patient is supplied with
Valve Key.
