Replacement of main chassis (module 999)
Disconnect mains voltage
Remove front frame and front cloth
Connect ESD-mat to chassis
Loosen plugs on PCB60
Loosen plugs on PCB3
Loosen plugs on PCB10
Loosen screws holding the main chassis
Remove main chassis (module 999)
Remove optional module and the EEPROM 6IC6 from the defective chassis
PCB21 (Satellite) if mounted
Connect new chassis to ESD-mat

- Disconnect mains voltage.
Disconnect all other cables connected to BeoVision 5.
- Pull out the lower part of the front frame and then the upper part.
- Remove 11 screws on the front cloth.
- Pull out the lower part of the front cloth and let et slide slowly downwards.

- Connect the ESD-mat to the metal cover (A) on module 45. See
- Disconnect the plugs 60P448, 60P449 then open holders and remove wires.

- Disconnect plugs on PCB3: 3P422, 3P447, 3P429, 3P443, 3P445 and 3P421.
Open holders and remove wires. See
- Disconnect 10P77 and 10P78. Open holders and remove wires. See
- Loosen the 2 screws holding the main chassis (B). See
- Pull the main chassis outwards and then downwards helped by the handle.

- Place the chassis on the ESD-mat. See
- Locate PCB6 placed in the upper left hand corner of PCB14. Remove the cover.
Carefully remove the EEPROM 6IC6 using IC-pliers (3629145).

- Disconnect 3P455, 3P25 and 2P33 and remove the satellite cables from the AV
scart cover. Loosen the screws holding PCB21.
- Remember to remount PCB21 in the new chassis.
- Place the new chassis on the ESD-mat. Move the ESD-mat connection from the old
chassis to the aerial connection (A) on the new chassis. See
