Front cloth and Contrast screen
Front cloth
Contrast screen
The illustrations are placed in the back. See page 6.22 Removing and mounting
the front cloth.
- Carefully pull out the aluminium border. Start by pulling it out from the lower side
of the border. See
12. When the lower part is loosen from holders pull out the
upper part carefully. Hold it tight in your hands to avoid damaging the surface of
the aluminium border. See
- Loosen 4+7 screws in the border of the front cloth. See
Then loosen the front cloth by pulling out and downwards the lower part of the
front cloth.
- When mounting the front cloth, put the lower part onto the backcover and push
in the upper part of the front cloth. Make sure the snap lock fi ts into the hole in
the TV.
Use white gloves to avoid smudging the contrast screen.
- Remove the back cover of the plasma screen. Please see page 6.29 Removing the
backcover of the plasma screen.
- Remove the plugs SS34 and C34. See page 6.33 Removal of front frame and
contrast screen.
- Remove the screws in each side of the TV. See
- Carefully remove the front frame by pulling it upwards. See
- Loosen the screws holding the glass rails. See
- Pull out the glass carefully. See
When changing the front frame
- Remove the little metal sheet. See
- Remove the two PCBs V1 and S1. See
- When remounting the contrast screen, follow the above instruction in reverse
order.
Please note: When cleaning the contrast screen be careful not to damage it. It is
recommended that you use a cloth that is normally used for glasses with a coated
contrast surface. For cleaning the plasma screen (behind the contrast screen) use a
mild window cleaning fl uid. Make sure no streaks or traces are left on the contrast
screen or plasma screen.
