Before you put it on, first loosen all the straps.
Important:
- When fitting the orthosis, always make sure that the two intersecting self-griping
straps (crossover self-griping straps) ❶ are always positioned centrally during
10
adjustment: check the spacing and position of the two crossover self-griping
straps.
The length of the two ends of each crossover self-griping strap protruding from
the crossover strap cover must be identical.
- To avoid damage to the knit fabric, please make sure that the self-griping pads
are always fastened to the designated self-griping surfaces when putting it on
and taking it off.
First Fitting (straps adjustment):
Have the patient sit on the edge of a chair, and have the patient bend his/her knee
to a position of approximately 30-60° of flexion.
- Slip the knee support on the leg with your foot extended.
To make it easier to put on, use the pull tabs at the top of the knee brace.
- Make sure that your knee cap is positioned in the centre of the patellar insert.
Start the adjustment of the two rear straps. First fit the lower leg Ⓐ and then
the upper leg Ⓑ strap ❶ .
- To adjust the length of the two rear straps, it is necessary to adjust the length
of the end opposite the self-griping strap intersection which has a straight cut
edge ❷ .
- To adapt the strap, remove the self-griping pad and shorten the strap to the
desired length ❸ .
- Then re-attach the self-griping pad and fix it on the strap. The self-griping pad
should be positioned centrally on the length of the strap so that the tension can
be increased if necessary. If creases form during strap adjustment, the angle of
each strap can be adjusted and positioned individually by opening the two rear
hook and loop openings on the crossover self-griping strap (round end) ❹ .
Then adjust the two front straps. First fit the lower leg Ⓒ and then the upper leg Ⓓ
strap ❶ .
- To adjust the length of the two front straps, it is necessary to adapt the length of
the end of the strap which is directly located on the crossover self-griping strap ❶ .
- To adapt the strap, remove the self-griping pad and shorten the strap to the
desired length ❺ .
Take care to not cut any strap too short.
- The self-griping pad should preferably be positioned centrally on the length or
near the fastening loop with the magnetic fastener so that the tension can be
increased if necessary.
- To close the strap, grasp into the loop at the end of the strap ❻ and pull the end
of the strap towards the self-griping pad with the magnetic fastener so that the
magnetic fastener can find itself and close automatically.
- If creases form during strap adjustment, the angle of each strap can be adjusted
and positioned individually by opening the two rear hook and loop openings on
the crossover self-griping strap (round end) ❺ .
- To change the tension while wearing the orthosis, it is only necessary to change
the position of the self-griping ends of the straps on the straps.
- If the lower end of the device presses into the calf, the hinged upright can be bent
outwards at the distal end appropriately.
Before you take it off:
To loosen the strap system, please open the magnetic fasteners of the two front
straps.
It is not necessary to readjust the rear straps Ⓐ and Ⓑ .
Then grasp into the orthosis from below and pull it off downwards.
Care
Close the self-fastening tabs before washing.
Remove only the rigid upright before washing. To do this:
- Pull on the top of the product to disengage the upper end of the lateral uprights
from of its casing.
