•
Remove turret jaws (Item 26) from turret (Item 53). Unscrew turret (Item 53) from front piston rod (Item 55).
•
Optional: Unscrew grub screw (Item 4) from banjo (Item 48).
•
Unscrew adaptor (Item 30) from tail jaw housing (Item 47) using 1" spanner and 26mm spanner.
•
Using 26mm spanner to hold tail jaw housing (Item 47), unscrew jaw housing (Item 54) using Jaw housing key
(07900-00194).
•
Unscrew tail jaw housing (Item 47) from body (Item 43).
•
Using 2 x 5/8" spanners remove lock nut (Item 50) from piston (Item 46).
•
Unscrew piston nut (Item 51) from piston (Item 46). Separate O-ring (Item 6) from piston nut (Item 51).
•
Remove buffer stop (Item 52 x 3) from piston (Item 46).
•
Unscrew barrel (Item 38) from barrel nut (Item 37) using 18mm spanner.
WARNING: There may be residual spring load in following two steps. Care must be taken to remove the spring
!
load.
•
Using 6mm hex key, remove screw (Item 3) from barrel retainer (Item 40).
•
Slide barrel retainer (Item 40) away from body (Item 43).
•
Set aside O-ring (Items 8) and seal (Item 17). Set aside seal spring guides (Item 28).
•
Set aside spring (Item 41).
•
Remove spring guide (Item 28).
•
Slide piston (Item 46) out of body (Item 43).
•
Optional: Unscrew button head screws (Item 1) and bonded seals (Item 7) from body (Item 43).
•
Remove piston guidance tape-short (Item 45) and hydraulic seal (Item 16) from inside the body (Item 43).
•
Set body (Item 43) aside.
•
Pull apart piston (Item 46) and barrel nut (Item 37). This exposes an O-ring (Item 8), set aside.
•
Remove hydraulic seal (Item 17) and piston guidance tape-long (Item 44).
Assembly Instructions:
•
Clean all the parts thoroughly. Inspect and replace any parts that are worn or damaged.
•
Assembly is the reverse procedure for dismantling.
•
Ensure that the seals are replaced in the correct orientation. Lubricate all seals and housings, with Molylithium Grease
(07992-00020).
•
When fitting the piston (Item 31) into the body (Item 43), it is essential that the assembly bullet 07900-00669 is used to
prevent seal damage.
All item numbers refer to the General Assembly and Part List in section 6.0.
5.7 PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT
•
Assure conformity with applicable disposal regulations. Dispose all waste products at an approved waste facility or site
so as not to expose personnel and the environment to hazards.
