A suitable omnipolar disconnection device must be envisioned on the appliance mains
electric power supply, in compliance with the national installation rules.
It must be checked that the electric power supply has an effective earth and suitable
protections against overloads and/or short circuits.
The use of a ceramic fuse of the characteristics shown in the table is advised (or other
devices with the same functions).
The connection to the mains power supply must be made by the installation technician
(excluding mobile appliances, for which fixed installation by qualified personnel is
not required) in compliance with the regulations in force.
BEFORE MAKING THE ELECTRIC CONNECTION, MAKE SURE THAT THE UPSTREAM
ISOLATING SWITCH IS AT "0" (OFF) AND THE PROTECTIONS OF THE INDOOR AND
OUTDOOR UNITS ARE POSITIONED CORRECTLY.
2.3.5 - Operation test
The operation test must be carried out only after completing the following procedures:
- Electrical safety checks;
- Check for gas leakage;
- Check that the valves on the gas side and on the liquid side (high or low pressure) are completely open.
Carry out the operation test as described below:
The operation test must be carried out for at least 30 minutes.
a. Connect the unit to the mains supply.
b. Press the ON/OFF key to switch the unit on; press the MODE key to scroll between the functions below,
one at a time:
• COOL – Select the lowest possible temperature
• HEAT – Select the highest possible temperature
Leave each function active for 5 minutes.
During the operation test, carefully check that no one of the points of connection of
the coolant pipes shows any leakage.
c. At the end of the operation test, if all the checks listed in the table below have a positive result, proceed
as follows:
• Use the remote control to take the unit back to its normal operating temperature.
• Use insulating tape to wrap the points of connection of the coolant pipes located inside and that have
been exposed during installation of the internal unit.
If ambient temperature is lower than 17°C, the cooling function (COOL) does not ac-
tivate.
In this case, use the manual control as described in its respective paragraph.
