Product usage
Before first use
•
Clean the unit before first use ( CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE).
•
The unit may give off a little smoke or a slight odour on the first use. This is normal for
new units and will wear off with regular use. Alternatively, you can turn the unit on for
10 minutes prior to use to remove the smell and smoke.
WARNING! Do not connect the unit to the power source until it is fully assembled
with oil in it and you are ready to cook.
NOTE: All handles are made with cool-touch materials for safe handling when
the unit is in use.
Using the deep fryer
Assembly
•
Place the base on a stable, level and heat-resistant surface. Make sure it is used at least
50 cm away from other objects and that the area is well ventilated. Do not place the unit
near open flames or heat sources, such as a stove, hob or oven.
Insert the oil container into the base.
Slide the control panel with heating element onto the base, making sure you line up the
grooves on the back of the base with the nodules on the back of the control panel.
NOTE: Inside the grooves is a safety switch. The control panel must be inserted
correctly to activate the safety switch so you can use the fryer.
Pour frying oil into the oil container until it is halfway between the MIN and MAX marks.
Pour the oil in slowly to prevent splashing.
WARNING! Never use the unit when the oil level is below the MIN mark or above
the MAX mark.
