Product usage
NOTE:
•
Use good quality frying oil such as peanut oil, vegetable oil, corn oil, sunflower
oil or canola oil.
•
Do not mix oils.
•
Never use butter, margarine or olive oil, as they start to smoke at low
temperatures and are not suitable for frying.
Squeeze the two metal ends of the detachable frying basket handles together. Then insert
them into the metal brackets on the frying basket and release. Repeat until the handles
are inserted on all the frying baskets. Make sure the frying basket handles are properly
attached before using the unit.
Insert the baskets (either the two small baskets or one large basket) into the fryer and
hook them onto the back of the base, in the oil draining position.
WARNING! We recommend the exclusive use of frying oil in this unit. Never use fat.
Connecting to the mains power
Check the thermostat knob is in the OFF position.
Fully unwind the power cable. Plug the unit into a mains socket. The red power indicator
will turn on.
Operation
WARNING!
•
Make sure children are kept a safe distance away from the unit at all times
when it is being used or when it is cooling down.
•
RISK OF FIRE! Overheated oil can ignite very quickly. Never leave heating oil
unsupervised. Should the oil ignite, do not try to put it out by pouring water
on it. Cover the fryer with the lid and/or a fire blanket immediately. Turn off
and unplug the unit, then let it cool down.
•
Never move the fryer when it is in use or while the oil is cooling down. Beware,
oil can take several hours to cool.
NOTE:
•
When using the fryer and for 10 minutes after cooking, we recommend that
you open a window or turn on an extraction fan to keep the room odour-free.
•
Make sure the frying baskets are in the oil draining position and are not
submerged in the oil when it is heating.
