Hutschienen-Netzteil (DIN-Rail) | DIN Rail Power Supply
5.2
Einstellen der Ausgangsspannung
Das Hutschienen-Netzteil ist je nach Modell fabrikseitig auf die nominellen Ausgangsspannungen
12,0 V
oder 5,0 V
eingestellt (siehe „Technische Daten").
ringern.
7
Wartung, Pflege, Lagerung und Transport
Das Produkt ist wartungsfrei.

Description and function
2.1
Product
The product is a DIN rail power supply that converts an unstabilised input voltage into a regulated out-
put voltage. It has overvoltage, overload and short-circuit protection, protection class IP20 and safe
electronic isolation according to protection class II, a closed design, contact-protected screw connec-
tions and fanless convection cooling. The areas of application include, for example, industrial control
systems as well as home, building and factory automation. The top-hat rail power supply unit is suitable
as a bell transformer as well as for operating monitoring and access systems, door openers, door inter-
coms or bell systems, etc.

Intended use
The unit may only be mounted on a DIN rail that complies with the EN55022 standard
(TS 35/7.5 or TS 35/15).
We do not permit using the device in other ways like described in chapter „Description and
Function" or in the „Safety Instructions". Use the product only in dry interior rooms. Never use the pro-
duct in rooms where there are flammable gases or vapours. Not attending to these regulations and sa-
fety instructions might cause fatal accidents, injuries, and damages to persons and property.

Installation
5.1
Assembly and connection
NOTICE!
Material damage
• Always connect the secondary circuit first before connecting the primary circuit.
• Assign the N/L and plus and minus terminal blocks as marked on the product.
1. Check that the fuse is switched off and secured against being switched on again and check with a
voltage tester that the cables to be wired are really voltage-free.
2. Prepare the connecting cables for connection to the terminal blocks by removing approx. 6 mm of
the insulation at the cable ends.
3. Place the DIN rail power supply unit on top of the DIN rail with the groove for suspension (5).
4. Press the DIN rail power supply unit lightly and push the latch (6) upwards.
5. Check that the DIN rail power supply unit is firmly seated on the DIN rail.
6. Connect your cables in correct polarity to the terminal blocks (4) in the secondary circuit.
7. Tighten the screws clockwise with a screwdriver to fix the cables.
8. When all consumers are properly connected on the secondary side, connect the primary side to the
mains via the terminal blocks N and L (2).
9. Check the function of all installed components before putting the DIN rail power supply unit into
operation.
10. After switching on the power supply, the operation LED (3) lights up and signals that the unit is sup-
plied with power.
5.2
Setting the output voltage
Depending on the model, the DIN rail power supply unit is factory-set to the nominal output voltages of
12.0 V
or 5.0 V
(see „Specifications").
To compensate for possible voltage drops, the output voltage can be adjusted:
1. Insert a suitable screwdriver into the opening of the output voltage regulator (1).
2. Turn the screwdriver clockwise to increase the output voltage.
3. Turn the screwdriver counterclockwise to decrease the output voltage.
Adjust the voltage in small steps.
Check the voltage at the consumer with a suitable measuring device.
6
Response to faults
In the event of faults such as overload, overvoltage, overcurrent or short circuit, an internal safety me-
chanism is triggered and the power supply to the secondary circuit is interrupted. After the fault has
been eliminated, the DIN rail power supply unit continues to operate normally again.
7
Maintenance, Care, Storage and Transportation
The product is maintenance-free.
NOTICE!
Material damage
• Only clean the product when it is disconnected from the power supply.
• Only use a dry and soft cloth for cleaning.
• Do not use detergents or chemicals.
• When not in use for a long time, store the product out of reach of children and animals and in a dry
and dust-protected environment.
• Store cool and dry.
• Do not store the product near easily inflammable objects.
• Keep and use the original packaging for transport.

Disposal instructions
According to the European WEEE directive, electrical and electronic equipment must not be
disposed with consumers waste. Its components must be recycled or disposed apart from each
other. Otherwise contaminative and hazardous substances can damage the health and pollute
the environment. As a consumer, you are committed by law to dispose electrical and electronic
devices to the producer, the dealer, or public collecting points at the end of the devices lifetime for free.
Particulars are regulated in national right. The symbol on the product, in the user manual, or at the
packaging alludes to these terms. With this kind of waste separation, application, and waste disposal of
used devices you achieve an important share to environmental protection.
