• When using on gas stoves, the pressure cooker should be properly
centered over the burner so that the flame does not hit the side wall
and the handles. For use on electric or vitroceramic stoves (electric
heating element), make sure the pot is centered over the heating
area so that there is uniform heat transfer and distribution. Always
remember that the heat source (flame/heating region) should not be
larger than the bottom of the pressure cooker.

INCORRECT USE OF THE PRESSURE COOKER CAN CAUSE DAMAGE
When steam begins to escape through the working valve, lower the
heat to save electrical energy or gas.
OPENING THE COOKER:
There are two ways to open the cooker:
1. SLOW COOL DOWN:
let the cooker cool down to room temperature.
• Lift the working valve slowly with a fork to check whether all the
steam inside is completely gone.
2. FAST COOLING:
keep the pressure regulator in place and pour cold
water over the lid. This will reduce the pressure inside the pot. Lift the
pressure regulator again with the aid of a fork to check whether the
internal pressure has been completely released.
• The working valve should never be removed while the cooker is warm.
After the cooker is cool, carefully remove the working valve.
• Remove the lid only after checking that no
pressure remains in the cooker. To remove, turn the
lid counter clock-wise until the arrow on the lid is
aligned with the arrow on the handle (figure 8).
• When turning the lid, do not push the handles
upward. Simply turn the lid gently until the arrows
are aligned. Then lift and remove the lid. This will
avoid damaging the parts.
• If there is resistance in opening the cooker, it
means there is still some pressure inside the cooker.
If this happens, do not force the handles open.
