3. Remove the cartridge.
4. Place the batteries in position with the small battery tip
pointing away from the springs at the top and bottom of the
cartridge. See Figure 3.
Troubleshooting
If no sound produced or if no "click" is heard when the switch
button is pressed, try the following:
• Check for dead or extremely weak AA 1.5 V batteries or one
or more dead cells.
• Check for proper installation of the batteries in the cartridge.
• Reinstall the cartridge and batteries in the handle.
If these actions do not resolve the issue, the amplifier assembly
is defective and should be replaced or repaired.
