For your safety
Use the device properly
This device is approved solely for
use
– in accordance with the
descriptions and safety
instructions specified in these
operating instructions
– to mow the lawns of domestic
and leisure gardens.
Any other use is not an intended
use. Improper use is not covered
by the warranty and the
manufacturer will reject any liability.
The user is then liable for all
injuries to third parties and damage
to their property.
Unauthorised changes to the
device exclude liability of the
manufacturer for any resulting
damage and/or injury.
Observe the safety and
operating information
As the user of this device, read
these operating instructions
carefully before using the device for
the first time. Follow these
instructions and keep them safe for
later use. Never allow children or
other people unfamiliar with this
operating manual to use the
device.
All persons involved with the initial
set-up, operation and servicing of
the device, must have appropriate
qualifications.
If the mower changes ownership,
hand over the operating manual
with it.
General safety instructions
In this section you will find general
information about safety. Warnings
that apply specifically to individual
parts of the device, functions or
activities are shown at the
corresponding point in this manual.
Before working with the device
Any person intending to use this
mower must not be under the
influence of intoxicants such as
alcohol, drugs or medicines.
Do not permit children under the
age of 16 to operate or perform
other work on this device, such as
maintenance, cleaning,
adjustment, etc. – local regulations
may specify a minimum age of the
user.
Do not use the device if you have
not received appropriate training or
are tired or ill.
This device is not intended for use
by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of
experience and/or knowledge,
unless they are under supervision
or have received instructions
concerning how to use the device
by a person responsible for their
safety.
Children should be supervised to
ensure that they do not play with
the device.
Before starting work, familiarise
yourself with all the equipment and
controls as well as their functions.
Store fuel in permitted containers
only and never near heat
sources (e.g. cooker or hot water
tank). Refuel the device outdoors
only.
Never refuel the device while the
engine is running or hot.
Replace the exhaust, tank or fuel
cap if they become damaged.
Before using the device, check:
– that the grass catcher works and
the discharge flap closes
correctly. Replace damaged,
worn out or missing parts
immediately.
– for any wear or damage to the
cutters, fastening pins and the
whole cutter unit. Have worn or
damaged parts replaced by a
specialist company and only in
sets to exclude imbalances.
Spare parts and accessories must
satisfy the requirements specified
by the manufacturer.
Therefore only use original spare
parts and original accessories or
spare parts and accessories that
have been authorised by the
manufacturer.
