Applications
The appliance is equipped
with a special mulching blade
and can thus be used
exclusively for mulching.
Notes on mulching
NOTE
To ensure a perfect, thick
lawn, mow regularly and keep
the grass short. Do not cut too
short in hot, dry conditions as
the lawn will dry out or burn in
the sun and become
unsightly.
The cutting pattern will be
better with a sharp blade than
with a blunt one. The blade
must therefore be sharpened
regularly (dealer).

Mowing on slopes
For the user's safety and in
order to ensure an adequate
oil supply for the 4-stroke
engine, the lawn mower must
not be used on inclines of
more than 25°.
A slope inclination of 25°
corresponds to a vertical
height increase of 46.6 cm for
a 100 cm horizontal distance.
Mulching procedure
The cuttings must not be
disposed of when mulching,
as the finely chopped grass
decomposes on the lawn,
returns the nutrients in the
cuttings to the plants and also
protects the ground from
drying out. Time and money is
saved for fertiliser and
sprinkling.
High grass should be mowed /
shredded at the maximum
cutting level (level 4).
Rule of thumb: 2/3 of the
grass blade length should
remain standing, 1/3 should
be cut.
e.g.: grass with a height of
10 cm is cut to approx. 7 cm.
7
If the grass length is to be cut
to 5 cm, mowing again at a
lower setting is
recommended.
If the cutting height is too low,
the mower housing may
become blocked, resulting in
blockage of the mowing blade.
The lawn cuttings remain on
top of the grass instead of
being blown into the roots.
It is important to select the
correct operating speed and
height for mulching to allow
the multi-blade to achieve
optimal grass shredding and a
good cutting pattern.
In high grass it is advisable to
work in several stages and in
the higher cutting height
settings.
Mulching should not be
performed when the grass is
too high or wet.
Safety devices
Motorstop lever
The appliance is equipped
with a motorstop device.
Following triggering of
the motorstop device
(releasing the
L= motorstop lever), the
engine with the mowing
blade stops immediately
and comes to a complete
standstill within a few
seconds.
CAUTION
Risk of injury!
The motorstop device must
not be bypassed, e.g. by
tying the motorstop lever (L)
to the handlebar.
