Intended use
These products may only be used as an aid to ascending to working heights that are otherwise not
achievable.
The maximum loading (see symbolsticker) and the maximum height (see assembly instructions
and ID-Sticker) may not be exceeded or modified.
Stability shall be guaranteed taking local conditions into account (see point 7).
All the parts of the product supplied shall be fitted in accordance with the assembly instructions/as-
sembly drawing. Only original parts shall be used.
Any handrail provided shall be fitted in accordance with the assembly instructions/assembly draw-
ing.
If this product is intended for wall or floor mounting, only Hymer-Leichtmetallbau fastening brackets
may be used. It shall be assembled using the correct fasteners, such as wall plugs. The
installation shall be inspected and approved by a specialist after it has been fastened.
If the product is height-adjustable, the manufacturer's specifications regarding securing the height
adjustment shall be observed.
Care shall be taken to ensure that all brakes are set on mobile versions of the product (except
during transport).
Where specified, extending stabilisers or outriggers and ballast shall be affixed in accordance with
the assembly instructions/assembly drawing.

Use
The maximum step load of 150 kg and total loading of 150 kg shall not be ex-
ceed-ed. Bear separate instructions on the symbol in mind as appropriate.
7.2
It may not be used if it is not possible to guarantee safe ascent because of
weather conditions (e.g. ice, snow, wind speeds above 12 m/s) or dirt.
Dynamic loads (e.g. seesawing, jumping etc.) are not permissible.
7.4
Care shall be taken to ensure that any opening parts on the product, e.g. barri-
ers, doors etc. are closed again after use.
It is not permitted to climb on or lean against the handrail.
The product shall only be ascended from the front, and the user shall hold the
handrail by at least one hand.
Ascending the rear or the side, and overhangs, are prohibited.
Ensure that access is clear. The ascent and descent may not be blocked with
tools or materials.
Take care before using the product that there is nothing to prejudice stability (e.g. pedestrians,
vehicles etc.) in the vicinity. Doors and windows (with the exception of emergency exits) should be
locked, or at least have a warning notice affixed, during work.
The product may not be brought into position from above.
All brakes (where fitted) shall be applied and the stability shall be checked be-
fore use of the product.
Where the product's height may be adjusted on a spindle, the product can be
brought to the desired height with the spindle crank before ascent. Secure the
mechanism so that the product can be ascended safely (see instructions for use of spindle). The
platform shall be retracted back to the closed position (lowest position) after use.
