Unscrew headlamp holder 1 (theft
protection) and detach from housing
2 .
Unlatch and pull off adapter for
illuminant 3 including cap 11.
Make sure the illuminant is securely
fitted, then push on adaptor 3 in
accordance with the required
position of the lead exit and secure.
Assemble housing and holder.
Mark mounting location and drill.
Treat drilled metal parts with rust
preventive.

Hand-screw, align and tighten
headlamp with compensation plate

Re-assemble housing 2 and holder

Attach ballast 7 with bracket 8
near the headlamp (max. length of
cable 45 cm) in a location protected
against splash water and from sight.
Make sure the supply cable between
headlamp and ballast is not twisted
more than 90° and not bent with a
radius of less than 20 mm.
Cable colours:
= brown
= blue

project over the sides of the vehicle
or 4 m overall height.
For dowel mounting, first drill 1 hole
only, tighten hand-tight, align, then
drill second hole and tighten
headlamp down.
Place sealing ring 9 onto plug 10 ,
connect plug 10 to illuminant,
secure, and put on cover cap 11 .
Only use the special cable set
supplied for electrical connection.
First, disconnect the earth cable from
the battery and then wire up in
accordance with the wiring diagram
(see Fig. 4).
Install relay using connecting
terminals in a location protected
against splash water.
