3. INSTALLATION
3.1 FITTING
Always install the pump:
– horizontally, using a leveling tool,
– as close as possible to the appliance keeping in
mind that the condensate has to drain through
gravity into the pump.
To ensure proper ventilation of the motor, the pump
must be free of any obstruction.
The pump can be fixed to a wall using the fixing points
on the plate: fig. 1.
Check that the Sanicondens Clim Maxi is leveled: fig.
2.
Example of an installation of a Sanicondens Clim Maxi:
see page 8.
3.2 HYDRAULIC CONNECTION
Connecting the inlet
The pump has two inlets that can be used as required
(fig. 3):
- The upper inlet (Ø28 mm) is open. If the upper inlet
is used (fig. 5), close the lower side inlet with the
supplied gasket B, cover C and plug A.
- To use the lower side inlet, place the plug A and
Ø 32 mm gasket B on the inlet pipe (Ø32 mm) and
screw it onto the inlet.
Note: the plate can be rotated by 180° to adapt to the
installation configuration (fig. 1).
Drain the condensate water to any of these inlets. If
necessary, use a rubber flexible adapter.
Connecting the discharge pipe
The Sanicondens Clim Maxi discharge connection
must be connected to a flexible vinyl hose with an
inner diameter of 10 mm (not provided).
1. Insert the hose into the discharge connection that
has a built-in non-return valve (see fig. 4).
2. Position the flexible hose in the upmost vertical
position possible to avoid any kinking. It is
recommended to make a smooth turn to avoid the
hose from kinking.
3. Secure the hose by using a clamp.
The hose can be connected to a PVC pipe of larger
diameter by a plastic reducer connection (fig. 4.1).
Provide a cable tie to secure the connection (fig. 4.2).
The Sanicondens Clim Maxi is fitted with a non-return
valve to prevent re-activation.
