Battery replacement
The battery shipped with the generator set has been
fully charged. A battery may lose some of its charge
when not in use for prolonged periods of time. If the
battery is unable to crank the engine, plug in the 12V
charger included in the accessory box.
The
negative
battery
should always be disconnected first
and connected last!
4.3
Operating P2000i, P3500i
4.3.1
Starting
Do not connect any electric devices
before starting the engine!
– Turn the ESC-throttle switch to OFF.

– If the engine is cold, turn the choke switch to
CHOKE:
•
Ignition circuit is switched on.
•
Fuel valve is switched on.
•
Choke is switched off.
If the engine is warm, turn the choke switch to
ON.
– Turn the engine switch on the control panel to ON
for recoil start, or to START for electric start, so
the generator set can be started.
To extend the service life of the
storage battery, do not turn the
switch for more than 3 seconds. Wait
for at least 10 seconds after turning
the switch before trying again.
– In case of recoil start, pull the recoil starter while
holding the carrying handle firmly to prevent the
generator set from turning over.
– After the engine is started, let it run and warm up
until it keeps running when the choke switch is
turned to ON.
4.3.2
– Release the load.
– Disconnect any electrical devices.
– Turn the ESC-throttle switch to OFF.
– Turn the choke switch to OFF:

When starting the engine with the
ESC-throttle switch turned ON and
no load connected, the time it takes
for the engine to warm up at rated
speed is:
– 5 minutes at ambient tempera-
tures below 0°C
– 3 minutes at ambient tempera-
tures below 5°C.
Stopping
•
Ignition circuit is switched off
•
Fuel valve is switched off.
