Troubleshooting
Problem
The engine will not
start.
The engine starts,
but dies again.
There is a lot of
smoke coming from
the exhaust.
The machine
struggles to drill.

Possible cause
1. The air � lter is blocked.
2. The engine is � ooded.
3. The spark plug is loose.
4. The spark plug cap is not
positioned correctly.
5. There is no more fuel in the fuel
tank.

The choke is incorrectly adjusted.
2.
The carburettor is incorrectly
adjusted.

The ratio between petrol and two-
stroke oil is incorrect.
1.
The machine is overloaded.
2.
The drill bit's cutting edges are
blunt.
3.
The earth is dry and hard.
Solution
1. Clean or replace the air � lter.
2. Remove the spark plug, wipe it
with a clean cloth and replace it.
3.
Tighten the spark plug.
4.
Push the spark plug cap securely
onto the spark plug.
5.
Fill up with fuel.

Adjust the choke correctly.
2.
Contact a professional.

Empty the fuel tank and re� ll with
40:1 oil/petrol mixture.

Avoid pressing the machine so
hard against the ground.
2.
Grind or � le the cutting edges.
3.
Water the ground to loosen the
soil.
