EN
When working two or more people
simultaneously in the same area,
safety distances must be maintained to
prevent accidents and injuries.
Work only in daylight or with good
artificial lighting. Do not use the unit at
night or when it is not possible to have
a clear view of the work area.
Never work with the unit when adverse
metrological conditions such as dense
fog, rain or strong wind, storms or
lightning.
During operation, walk forward step by
step and observe the area of the disc or
the nylon cutting-line head.
Avoid
walking
backwards,
reducing the risk of tripping.
While using the unit, move to a stable
position and keep balanced. Do not use
the tool in slippery, irregular or unstable
surfaces, or in a lumpy ground.
Keep yourself and clothing away
from the cutting accessories.
Always use personal protective clothing
and equipment. The use of face shields
and goggles, dust masks, hearing
protection,
anti-slip
safety
long-sleeved shirts, gloves, helmets
and knees guards, on the appropriate
conditions, reduces the risk of injury.
The clothing worn while using this
machine must be appropriate, tight and
closed. Do not wear loose clothing or
jewellery. Keep hair, clothing, fingers
and the rest of the body away from
moving parts.
Always wear security shoes with
non-slip sole that fully covers the foot
while working. Never work barefoot or
wearing sandals.
In case of nausea, headaches,
sight problems (eg. reduced
vision), hearing problems, dizziness
and reduced ability to concentrate, stop
using the machine immediately. These
symptoms may be caused by high
exhaust gas concentration.
The combustion engine produces
poisonous gases as soon as it starts
working. These gases contain toxic
carbon
monoxide,
odourless gas, as well as other harmful
substances. The combustion engine
may never be turned on inside confined
or poorly ventilated spaces.
While operating the machine, schedule
some time to rest and avoid using
the machine for long periods of time.
Permanent vibration is very harmful.
Do not remove the wrapped product
from the cutting accessories and
respective protections while the motor
thus
is running or the cutting disc is rotating.
Stop the engine and wait for all the
accessories to stop before removing
the material wrapped around the disc
shaft or cutting head with nylon line and
its protections.
A massive load of vibrations may
damage nervous and circulatory
systems, especially to whom have
circulatory problems. Inform your
doctor if any symptoms arise caused by
vibration. Among these symptoms, that
occur specially on fingers, hand and
shoes,
wrists, are also included loss of
sensation, pain, muscle weakness, skin
discoloration or tingling sensation.
The control and safety devices installed
in the machine cannot be removed or
inhibited.

When carrying out any cleaning,
adjusting, repairing or maintaining
work, wear gloves and place the
machine in a firm and steady surface.
Remove the spark plug cap as
an unintentional spark can
cause burns or an electric shock. A
contact of the spark plug with the pipe
may cause an involuntary start of the
combustion engine.
Allow the unit to cool down
especially
maintenance works in the transmission
area, combustion engine, exhaust and
silencer. Temperatures of 80 ° C and
above can be reached.

especially before storage (for example,
before the winter period), for wear and
damages.
For safety reasons, replace worn or
damaged parts immediately so the unit
is always in perfect working conditions.
Cleaning:
The equipment must be well cleaned
after use.
Clean the engine by hand (avoid
introducing water into the air filter
and into the exhaust). Avoid wetting
the controls and other equipment /
accessories that are difficult to dry
(water stimulates the appearance of
rust);
Do not use
products. These products can damage
plastics and metals, leading to an
incorrect operation of the machine.
In order to avoid the risk of fire, the area
of the air openings, the cooling fins and
the exhaust pipe must remain free of
flammable waste.
Maintenance:
Only maintenance works described
in this instruction manual may be
performed; all other work must be done
by an official distributor.
Only use accessories, oils or lubricants
authorized by VITO. Otherwise, injuries
or damages may occur. In case of
doubt, you must contact your official
distributor.
For safety reasons, the components of
the fuel conducting pipes (hoses, tank
and fittings) shall be checked regularly
to prevent damages and leaks. If
necessary, replace them with an official
