mode for 30 minutes. The detector returns to normal operating
mode after the walk test mode times out.
During the walk test the installer should cross a curtain to
trigger the PIR, and change the distance from detector to
trigger the radar. The simplest method is to cross a selected
curtain, and then move towards the detector to activate a dual
alarm. See Figures 4 and 5 for the curtain floor pattern.
Next, the installer should wait 40 seconds before repeating the
walk test on the consecutive curtain of the detector pattern.
Note:
An environment with a higher microwave noise may
require a longer quiescent time for radar circuits to stabilize.
Green mode (AM detectors only)
The detector can be programmed in several ways to minimize
the human and animal exposure to microwave radiation,
although the detector is already sending microwave signal on a
very low power level.
The detector will switch the microwave section off for 3 minutes
after a dual alarm. The detector is in PIR only during this timer.

J1: Off
Settings option 2
J1: Removed
The microwave section is switched off and for DD66XAM is
switched to AM section. The detector operates in PIR mode
only.
