2. About this manual
This manual explains how to operate and maintain
VMI® - Société Ventilairsec Bypass Smart and Bypass
solutions.
Certain operations must only be carried out by qualified
staff. Under no circumstances must these be carried out
by the user.

▪ Read this manual carefully to ensure the optimal
performance of the appliance.
▪ Ventilairsec may not be held liable if the instructions
given in this manual are not followed.
3. Safety instructions
Installation
▪ The appliance must be installed by a qualified
professional.
Use
▪ The Bypass (appliance) components are not intended
for use by people (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capacities, or by people
with no experience or knowledge of the appliance,
unless they are monitored by or have received
instructions from someone responsible for their safety
when using the appliance.

▪ Make sure that children do not play with the appliance.
▪ Do not insert anything in the ventilation ducts and do
not obstruct the air inlets and air outlets.
▪ Do not place anything on the appliance.
▪ In case of malfunctions, please contact the machine's

installer.

Servicing and maintenance

▪ Disconnect the power supply before all interventions

(except for maintenance that can be done by the user,

as defined below) and make sure that it cannot be

accidentally reset.
▪ All maintenance operations must be carried out by

qualified staff.

▪ The user must not attempt to repair any breakdowns.

▪ If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by

the manufacturer, its after-sales department or by
similarly qualified people to avoid any danger.
▪ The inside of the Bypass must be regularly cleaned
(every year or more often).
Transformation
▪ The appliance must not be modified. All components
must be replaced by a professional with genuine parts
from the manufacturer.
Protecting the environment and End-of-life
▪ The packaging materials are recyclable.
Please dispose of packaging in an
environmentally-friendly manner.
▪ Power down before dismantling.
▪ Do not burn the appliance. Certain
components may release toxic gases
when they are burnt.
▪ Take the product to a recycling collection
point. The product must not be disposed of
with household waste.
4. After-sales warranty
The Bypass Smart and Bypass by Ventilairsec Group
come with a 5-year warranty for parts and labour in our
workshops, with the installer, running from the purchase
date, and covering all manufacturing defects.
If the parts are found to be faulty after being inspected
by its after-sales department, Ventilairsec guarantees to
replace them.
All peripheral devices (switches) benefit from a 2-year
warranty for parts and labour (in our workshops).
