Cleaning the cover
Please note!
– The fabric is suitable for hand wash
at 40 °C. The cover is not suitable for
machine washing!
– Do not use a tumble-dryer.
– Do not iron.
– Do not use aggressive chemical clean-
ing agents or fluids, solvents, abra-
sive substances or objects, bleach-
ing agents, high-pressure cleaners or
strong cleaning products.
– Comply with the manufacturer's dos-
ing, application and reaction instruc-
tions.
Remove the cover from the frame for best
results. You need a 5 mm hex key for this.
1. Unscrew the top 16 on the top end of
the sun shade (see figure Q).
2. Loosen the hexagon socket screw 17
in the top bracket 19 with a hex key
and remove the top bracket 19 togeth-
er with the hexagon socket screw 17
and the washer 18 (see figure Q).
3. Loosen the screws 20 at the end of
the lateral braces 21 with a Philips-
head screwdriver (see figure R).
4. Take the cover off of the lateral brac-
es 21 (see figure R).
5. Wash the cover.
6. Pull the wet cover back on and attach
the screws 20 again.
7. For added safety, fix the cover on
the lateral braces 21 with the tie
straps 22.

8. Put the top bracket 19 and washer 18
back in place and tighten the hexagon
socket screw 17. Afterwards, put the
top 16 back in place and tighten it (see
figure Q).
9. Open the sun shade and let the cover
dry thoroughly.
If necessary, close the sun shade and
slip over the protective sleeve.
Care + storage
Maintaining the shade pole
• Clean the shade pole regularly to en-
sure that the mobile parts slide prop-
erly. If necessary, spray it with a silicon
or Teflon lubricant spray.
• Check all load-bearing parts such as
braces, screws etc. regularly.
• Check the shade pole regularly for rust
spots and touch them up if necessary.
Use only a small amount of soap solu-
tion for cleaning.
Storing the shade
• For over winter storage, take down the
sun shade in a completely dry state.
Store it in a dry, well ventilated room.
• If possible, store the sun shade up-
right and without any load on the sun
shade.
• At the start of the season ensure that
all components and fixings are secure.
If you are unsure, do not use the prod-
uct.
