If the mounting surface is less than ³⁄₁₆" thick, carefully trim
the spacer ring so that it is even with the bottom of the faucet.
If the mounting surface is greater than ³⁄₁₆", do not cut the
spacer ring.
Install the mounting plate and collar.
Tighten the collar.
