Installation
WARNING! Make sure the unit is switched off and unplugged from the mains
socket before installing or changing any parts.
Selecting a suitable location for the unit
•
The unit must be installed in a room larger than 4 m².
•
Place the unit on a flat, stable surface.
•
Make sure to leave a gap of at least 60 cm around the entire unit to allow for good
ventilation and prevent the air outlet/inlet from being blocked by household items, such
as curtains, furniture and walls.
•
Place the unit near a window or door, plus close to a mains socket.
Installing the drainage system
Attach the drain connector to one end of the drain hose by pushing the latter into the drain
connector, then twisting it clockwise until it clicks firmly into place. Similarly attach the
other end of the drain hose to the window connector.
Extend the adjustable frame to fit your window. Secure it with the bolt, washer and wing
nut. Place the frame horizontally for sash windows and vertically for horizontal sliding
windows. Attach the window connector to the adjustable frame and press firmly until it
clicks into place. Use tape to secure the adjustable frame and cover all gaps around the
frame or window connector, to ensure maximum efficiency.
Secure the assembled drain hose to the back of the unit by aligning the grooves on the
drain connector with the slots in the drain outlet. Then press firmly to secure in place.
Extend the drain hose as far as needed for the unit to be positioned in the desired location.
The drain hose measures 24 to 150 cm long.
NOTE: Take care not to overstretch, crush or sharply bend the drain hose, as this
may result in damage and/or a malfunction. Make sure there is a gap of at least
60 cm between the unit and any other objects. Insufficient ventilation can lead
to overheating.
