Cleaning and maintenance
Storage
If you do not plan on using the unit for an extended period of time
(more than a few weeks), we recommend thoroughly cleaning and
drying it. Please store the unit as follows:
1. Unplug the unit and remove both the drain hose and window
frame.
2. Drain all the water from the unit.
3. Remove and clean the air inlet filter/cover. Store the air inlet
filter/cover in a dry, dust-free place for a few days before
repositioning it, in order to allow the evaporator to dry out.
When the water has been drained, the unit can also be used in
fan mode for about half a day at low speed to thoroughly dry
the inside of the unit. Then reposition the air inlet filter/cover,
followed by the drain plug.
4. Always store the unit in an upright position.
5. Remove the battery from the remote control.
6. Store the unit and its accessories in a dry, dust-free and well-
ventilated environment.
WARNING! The unit's evaporator must be dried before
putting the unit away, in order to prevent mould from
forming or damaging the internal parts.
