OPERATION
8.1 Preparing to work
1. Prepare the machine for operation (Read chapter "6 PREPARING THE MACHINE")
2. Sit on the driver's seat and adjust the position seat.
3. Connect the battery connector.
4. Turn the key-operated switch in ON position.
5. Control the forward and reverse switch on the console.
6. Regulate the water flow through the related lever on the footplate or adjust the flow through the potentiometer on the
console (available only on the Plus version).
7. Lower the scrubbing deck by pressing the switch on console. By pressing on the accelerator, brushes start to rotate.
8. Lower the squeegee lever or press the vacuum switch on the console (available only on the Plus version).
9. Select thr forward maximum speed by turning the knob. The selector has continuum of positions, indicated by
symbols: snail = slow speed, rabbit = fast speed.
10. By pressing the accelerator pedal, the machine starts to move. During the first few meters of work, check that the
water flow is right and that the squeegee dries the floor accordingly.
11. Adjust brushes pressure. By unscrewing the hadwheel the pressure increases, whereas by screwing pressure lows.
12. Now the machine will start to work in perfect efficiency until the water in the solution tank is finished.
Before using the machine check all the controls to employ it properly. Start, turn and stop slowly. Slow down
before bends, slippery and irregular surfaces. Avoid climbing objects and holes. Be careful in steering on
slopes.
Whenever problems arise during operations, turn the key-operated switch in OFF position, press the emergency
switch located below the operator seat and quickly detach the battery connector placed under the seat. These
procedures will block all machine movements. To start working again, after the problem have been solved,
reconnect connector, lift the emergency switch up and turn the key-operated switch in ON position.
The machine will not move forward it the operator is not firmly seated in the driver's seat.
When the battery charge level is getting too low, the brush and the vacuum motor automatically turns off.
Batteries must be recharged as soon as possible. A residual charge remains in the machine in order to be able
to move the machine to the charging point.
8.2 Recovery tank full
The hourcounter on the console of the machine has an overflow led
required to be emptied before starting to work again.
8.3 Traction
This machine has an electronically controlled traction system.
To move the machine first turn the key-operated switch in ON position and press the accelerator pedal. Check the
machine direction with the appropriate selector. The speed can be adjusted by turning the speed potentiometer.
To avoid wear of the squeegee rubber blades or any damage to the squeegee, reverse gear must be carried out
with the squeegee lifted off the ground. If the machine is equipped with the automatic lifting of the squeegee in
case of reverse, the machine will move only when the lifting is completed (available only on the Plus version).
8.4 Brakes
The machine has an electronic braking system. To brake, in normal conditions, just remove the foot from the accelerator
pedal. Machine is normally braked, the brake could be released by applying these options:
1.
Turn the key-operated switch in ON position;
2.
Pushing accelerator pedal;
3.
Sitting on the seat.
If required the brake on the drive motor can be realese by screwing the handwheel on the driving wheel.
8.5 Flashing light (optional)
The machine can have a flashing light that turns on automatically when turn the key-operated switch in ON position.
8.6 Linear actuator of the scrubbing deck
The machine has a linear actuator, which automates the function of lifting and lowering the scrubbing deck. To lower/lift
the scrubbing deck push the related switch on the console. By pressing on the accelerator the movement of the brushes
will start.
