1. GENERAL WARNINGS
PLEASE NOTE
INSTRUCTIONS AND WARNINGS FOR SAFE, CORRECT OPERATION. PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS
AND WARNINGS IN THIS MANUAL CAREFULLY AND RETAIN THE MANUAL THROUGHT THIS UNIT'S
LIFECYCLE. THE MANUAL CONTAINS IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS CONCERNING THE USE AND
SAFETY FOR THE INSTALLATION, OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF THIS UNIT.
1. The fireplace's purpose is solely to provide decorative heating. Every other application is dangerous and
prohibited for safety's sake.
2. Check the unit for damage after unpacking it. In the event of doubt do not install or operate the unit,
but contact an authorised PVG service centre.
3. Do not install the fireplace directly onto (deep-pile) carpets, rugs or flammable materials, etc. in order to
prevent heat induced discolouration and the risk of fire.
4. Caution is advised if the fireplace is used in a wet environment (e.g. near swimming pools, baths or sho-
wers). Never put the flame out using water or drip water into the flame.
5. The fireplace is based on a naked flame. Caution is advised.
6. The fireplace must be sturdily mounted in order to prevent extreme danger.
7. The Diamond fireplace must be installed in a space which is at least 32-39 m
ly ventilated, yet not drafty. Opening a window 2 centimetres generally provides sufficient ventilation.
8. Read the instructions carefully before installation and operation.
9. Never move the Diamond fireplace when it is hot.
10. Install the Diamond fireplace using a spirit level to ensure it is horizontal and install it against a stable,
totally fireproof background.
11. Keep flammable materials at least one metre away from the Diamond fireplace.
12. Never use real logs or flammable materials in the fireplace as these could cause a fire!
13. Allow the unit to cool completely before disassembling it.
14. Keep children and pets away from the Diamond fireplace.
15. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
16. Never leave the fire unattended! Prevent drafts and airflows which could influence the flames.
17. Drafts can cause soot to develop comparable to that of several smoking candles.
18. Before use, read the instructions for the fuel: Domestix fire gel.
19. Topping up partially filled cans while they are still warm is prohibited.
