20. Empty cans should only be filled when they are cold and away from the fireplace.
21. Used empty cans should always first be properly cleaned before being reused or refilled.
22. Replace cans after they have been used a maximum of three times.
23. Use matches or a lighter to light the fire which are at least 20 cm in length.
24. The Diamond fireplace is only suitable for burning the intended fuel (Domestix fire gel) and not for pro-
ducts such as lamp oil, methylated spirits or other flammable products.
25. In the event of a fire always use a fire blanket or a Type AB:E fire extinguisher. Never attempt to put the
fire out with water.
26. Not adhering to the instructions can cause material damage, personal injury or worse.
27. Never cover the fireplace, never place objects on or in front of it (keep objects at least 1 metre away).
28. Domestix fire gel is a highly flammable substance and its use is subject to regulations. You should inform
yourself of the rules that apply in your country so that you can store, process, transfer and use the fuel in
a safe, legal manner.
29. Using the wrong fuel is dangerous.
30. When using an open fire fireplace you should keep suitable extinguishing agents nearby.
31. First thoroughly remove spilt fuel with, for example, kitchen paper, before lighting the gel.
32. Ensure no body parts or clothing are above the flame during lighting.
33. Never remove or exchange cans if these are alight or still warm.
34. Do not smoke during the filling or placing of the fuel.
35. Highly flammable substances can, for example, lead to uncontrollable burning which can result in a
raging fire. If this happens, never try to move the gel cans, but try to put the flames out using, for exam-
ple, a fire blanket. In emergencies you can use a fire extinguisher, but only a Type AB:E extinguisher: a
carbon dioxide or powder extinguisher.
