The ultrasonic humidifi er HUMI-ED is specially designed as
a domestic room humidifi er and is complete with the latest
technology and an elegant and functional design.
This range of humidifi ers has been manufactured to the hi-
ghest standards which ensures reliable and effi cient opera-
tion. They have also been manufactured to comply with elec-
tromechanical compatibility standards.
Please check that the fan is in perfect condition and that it
is fully functional as the S&P guarantee covers any original
defect.
Important note: We advise you not dismantle the fan, since
any modifi cation, automatically voids the S&P warranty.
If you detect any problem contact the S&P technical service
network.
1. SAFETY ADVICE
• Check that the supply voltage matches the rating plate on
the back of the unit.
• This electrical appliance is designed for domestic humidi-
fi cation. It should not be used for other purposes.
• Do not use the appliance close to baths, swimming pools
or showers.
• Do not submerge the fan in water.
• Do not unplug the fan by pulling on the cable.
• Whenever you move the humidifi er, keep upright to avoid
wáter spillage.
• f the cable is damaged, it must be replaced by an original
spare part supplied by S&P.
• Do not touch the plug with wet hands.
• Do not use the appliance if the cable or plug are damaged.
• The unit is of the double insulated
require an earth connection.
• Before disconnecting the device, ensure that the device is
in the switched OFF.
• Do not place the appliance close to a heat source or in di-
rect sunlight.
• Before removing the water tank to refi ll it, make sure that
the device is switched OFF and it has been disconnected
from the mains.
• The humidifi er does not work if the water tank is not insta-
lled correctly. Interventions or alterations that modify the
normal operating characteristics, represent a potential
source of risk.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (inclu-
ding children) with reduced physical,sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concer-
ning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their
safety. Children must be supervised to ensured that they
do not play with the product.
• Do not use the appliance in the presence of explosives or
infl ammable gases.
• Do not cover the appliance.
• Do not insert metals or other objects inside the humidifi er.
• Position the moisture diffuser, so that the moisture fl ow
is not projected onto the wall, furniture, TV, power supply,
power cable, wooden fl ooring, remote control, etc.
• WARNING! Do not connect the appliance to the same soc-
ket as the TV or Video/DVD.
• The water must not contain fragrances or have a tempera-
ture of over 40º C. To avoid lime scale problems the use of
distilled water is recommended.
• Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the product.
• Before carrying out any maintenance work, or during long
periods without use, make sure that the device has been
disconnected from the mains, remove excess water from
the water tank and dry with a cloth or paper.
• Only for internal use
• To increase the performance of the appliance, the room
must be closed to prevent draughts.
• In the event of a fault, do not attempt to repair the applian-
ce. Any problem must be fi xed by one of our Offi cial Ser-
vices S&P.
• If the appliance has a water leak, contact the S&P techni-
cal service network.

3. COMMISSIONING
1. Always place the appliance on a stable, completely hori-

2. Remove the top cover and remove the water tank (Fig.2).
3. Unscrew the plug placed at the bottom of the water tank
(Fig.3) and fi ll the water tank with clean water and without
fragances and a temperatura of less than 40ºC. To avoid
lime scale problems it is recommended to use distilled
water.
4. Screw the plug, tightening securely.
5. Place the water tank into its initial position. Ensure that if
is securely seated in the main humidifi er body.
6. Replace the top cover and position the moisture diffuser,
so that the moisture fl ow is not projected on the wall, fur-
niture, TV, power supply, power cable, wooden fl ooring,
remote control, etc.
7. Connect the plug to the mains. (Check that the data on the
name plate coincides with the mains voltage).
4. FUNCTIONS AND PROGRAMMING (FIG. 4)
Before commissioning the humidifi er, you should know that
the comfortable humidity level in a room at 18-20ºC is be-
tween 50-60% RH.
1. Once the humidifi er is connected to the electrical supply,
the display of the control panel will light, indicating the
temperature and relative humidity in the room.
