The device is a component of a welding system. Welding fumes are produced during the welding process.
They are filtered and cleaned by the filter cartridges inside the device. The device is equipped with an
extraction system (H) that generates negative pressure during operation. With the help of the negative
pressure, welding fumes are drawn in through the hose of the fume extraction torch that is connected to the
inlet (B). A filter cartridge (G) in the filter housing (A) separates the welding fume particles. The cleaned air
is returned via an air exhaust louver on the rear of the device or optionally expelled via a separate exhaust
air hose. The filter cartridge is cleaned manually using compressed air and a cleaning lance. The separated
welding fume particles are collected in the filter housing (A). Via the disposal opening, the welding fume
particles can be emptied into a dust collecting bag and then disposed of in accordance with local
regulations.
The device can be operated manually or automatically. The integrated automatic start/stop mechanism (F)
enables the device to be switched on and off automatically. For this function, an earth cable is inserted into
the integrated automatic start/stop mechanism (F). Optionally, the device can also be operated
automatically with the aid of a current clamp. Once the welding process begins, the device receives a signal
from the current clamp and automatically starts the fume extraction process.
