PREPARING THE APPLIANCE FOR OPERATION
1. Before using the appliance for the
first time, we recommend that you
wipe off the two non-stick baking
surfaces with a damp cloth.
2. Open the window during the burn-
in phase that now follows.
3. Close the appliance, plug the
mains plug of the appliance into
an electrical outlet (220-240 V~,
50 Hz). The red operating indica-
tor light is illuminated and shows
that the heating circuit is in ope-
ration.
4. The green indicator light will be
illuminated as soon as the pre-
heating phase ends.
5. Heat up the appliance for approx.
10 minutes.
6. After pre-heating the appliance
there may already be visible tra-

ces of use; however, these do
not affect the function of the
appliance and do not constitute
grounds for a complaint.
7. Before using the waffle cup maker
for the first time, lightly grease
both baking surfaces with a brush
with a heat-resistant shortening,
(e. g. margarine).
8. If a mild odour becomes percep-
tible after heating up your new
appliance for the first time, it is
completely harmless.
9. Caution: We always recommend that
you not eat the very first waffle cups
prepared in the appliance; through
them away. For each subsequent
use of the appliance, naturally this
is no longer necessary!
