10.1 Troubleshooting
In the event of faults, please read the following potential
causes and their remedies. If the problem persists, con-
tact the authorized distributor for your country.
Problem Cause
Cannot attach
diverter to the tap.
Filtered water drips
out of the water
outlet even when the
tap is turned off.
Hot water was acci-
dentally run through
the filter for a short
time.
Water leaks from the
connection between
the diverter and the
tap.
Water leaks from
between the diverter
and the On Tap
housing.
Remedy
Determine whether you need an
adapter (see section "5. Installa-
tion/Step 2"). If the adapter does
not fit, please contact the official
distributor for your country.
There is still water under pressure
in the On Tap housing when the
tap is turned off. It is normal for
the filtered water flow to continue
for a few seconds.
A small amount of hot water run-
ning through the water filter will
not damage it. However, make
sure you always use cold water
for the filtering process.
A) Ensure that you have attached
the diverter to the tap correctly
(do not use any tools!).
B) If the tap has an internal
thread, ensure that the washer
has been fitted right at the top
of the adapter.
Please contact the BRITA service
hotline.
Problem Cause

the side of the filter
cartridge cap.
The electronic
cartridge change
indicator lights do
not flash in filtering
position.
