Safety instructions
DANGER! Determination and assessment of hazards in accordance with the Ger­
man Health and Safety at Work Act
● According to the German Health and Safety at Work Act, the employer must assess what haz­
ards are present for those occupied in the work and what health and safety measures are neces­
sary. Observe the information from the employers' liability insurance association for commercial
kitchens!
● The employer must specify and provide the personal protective equipment.
WARNING! Risk of injury
● During operation, the appliance and crockery are hot!
● The hotplate remains hot after use!
● If the circumferential silicone seal is defective:
− Switch off the unit.
− Switch off the electric main switch upstream of the appliance, or disconnect the mains plug.
− Contact an authorized customer service.
CAUTION! Risk of damage
● Make sure that no meltable material (sugary foods, plastics, aluminium foil, enamel, etc.) gets
onto the hot hotplate or under a pot. Remove the material immediately while hot, before it sticks
permanently to the hotplate.
● Do not push cookware over the heat-retaining surface or allow it to stand on the circumferential
silicone seal.
● Do not scratch the hotplate, e. g. by pushing cookware with rough bottoms over it, by using de­
fective enamel pots or with grains of sand caught between the pot bottom and the hotplate.
● Do not place hot cookware on the stainless steel table tops or stainless steel work surfaces, oth­
erwise there is a risk of warping of the stainless steel table tops and stainless steel work sur­
faces, with permanent damage.
● Do not spray or clean the appliance with water hoses, high pressure cleaners, high pressure
steam cleaners or steam cleaners!
● Do not spray foam cleaner on front panels and appliance panels! The foam cleaner ingresses into
the smallest cracks and destroys the components of the appliance!
● If the appliance has not been used for a longer period, commission an authorised customer ser­
vice agent check it for correct operation.
● If you cannot rectify malfunctions using the information on page 22 chapter 7. "Malfunctions and
rectification", switch off the appliance and contact the authorized customer service.
