Comply with the national regulations for working at heights.
As drop arrester for this product, use only the Hilti tool tether #2261971.
▶ Use the loop to secure the tool tether to the product as shown in the illustration. Check that it holds
securely.
▶ Secure the carabiner to a load-bearing structure. Check that the carabiner holds securely.
Comply with the operating instructions of the Hilti tool tether.
6 Operation
Observe the safety instructions and warnings in this documentation and on the product.
6.1 Adjusting cutting guide
1. Press and hold down the locking catch of the cutting guide.
2. Move the cutting guide to the desired height.
3. Release the locking catch of the cutting guide.
6.2 Sawing 3, 4
WARNING
Risk of injury by kickback of the bandsaw.
▶ Secure the workpiece in a bench vise, for example, before you start sawing.
▶ Bring the bandsaw and the workpiece into alignment.
WARNING
Risk of injury by saw run-on.
▶ Do not lift the product away from the workpiece until it has stopped completely.
▶ Wait until the product stops completely before you lay it down.
WARNING
Risk of injury due to the bandsaw blade. The bandsaw blade might be hot and/or have sharp edges; under
certain circumstances it can break.
▶ Wear protective gloves and eye protection when working and when changing the bandsaw blade.
▶ Use the bandsaw only with the bandsaw blade cover correctly installed.
▶ Never set a bandsaw down on a flammable surface while hot from being used.
