Disposal of the battery:
Important: Please take care for a professional disposal
of the batteries according to legal prescriptions.
Disposal advice: Please dispose only emptied batteries
into the collection containers at the store or the com-
munity. Batteries are empty if "BAT" is displayed or the
unit switches off.
Disposal of the unit:
Waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE)
must not get into domestic waste!
If ever the unit cannot be used anymore, the consumer
is legally obliged to hand in waste electrical and elec-
tronic equipment (WEEE) separately from domestic
waste, e.g. at a collection point of his community/his
district. This ensures that waste electrical and elec-
tronic equipment (WEEE) is expertly processed and
that negative effects to the environment are avoided.
Therefore electrical and electronic
equipment bears the following symbol:

Please note the additional warranty information (*).
Important warranty addendum (*):
• A new pH electrode is one that has been manufac-
tured a short time before. Electrodes will age even if
they are not in use. Depending on exact water com-
position, care and application range the expected life
span ranges from a few months up to several years.
• The BNC socket of the pH meter is suitable only for
connecting pH electrodes. Connecting other devices
to the BNC socket may damage the pH meter and will
void warranty.
• Warranty is void for electrodes that have been cor-
rupted by medications, colorants or chemicals, algae
deposits or dirt. Also, warranty is void in case of stor-
age in distilled water or test solutions, in case of
electrodes damaged by drying up and ones with
damaged cord, or broken electrodes, or ones that
have been destroyed by other improper use. Proper
use provided, however we grant 12 months warran-
ty on the electrode.
