Read all safety precautions and instructions. Failure to observe precautions and instructions may lead to
electric shock, fire and/or severe injury. Save all safety precautions and instructions for future use.
The safety instructions are to be read before preparation, operation, repair, maintenance and replace-
ment of accessories on the device and before working in the vicinity of the device and must be under-
stood. If this is not the case, the outcome could be severe bodily injuries.
The device should only be set up, adjusted or used by appropriately qualified and trained operators.
The device must not be modified. Modifications can reduce the effectiveness of the safety precautions
and increase the risk for the operator.
The safety instructions must not be lost – give them to the operator.
Never use damaged devices.
The device must be subject to regular inspections to check that the device is labelled with the necessary
clearly legible measurement valves and marks. The employer/operator must contact the manufacturer to
obtain the necessary replacement labels.
Work station safety
Be aware of surfaces that could become
slippery through use of the device and
of stumbling hazards caused by the
compressed air hose.Slipping, tripping and
falling are the main reasons for injuries in the
workplace.
Do not use the device in explosive
atmospheres or near flammable liquids,
gases or dust. Cutting or grinding of the
workpiece can generate sparks that could ignite
the dust or vapour.
Do not allow bystanders near the work
station when you are using the device. If
you are distracted by bystanders, you could lose
control of the device.
Keep bystanders a safe distance away
from your work area. Anyone entering
the work area must wear personal
protective equipment. Fragments of work-
piece or of a broken tool may be thrown out and
cause personal injuries beyond the immediate
work area.
Ensure good ventilation of the work
station. If possible use a dust extraction
device. Vapour and dust may arise when using
the device that can be harmful to health.

Safety of pneumatic tools
Compressed air can cause severe
injuries. In the event that the device is not being
used, and before replacement of accessories or
before repair work, ensure that the air supply is
switched off, the air hose is not under pressure
and that the device is disconnected from the air
supply.
Never direct the air flow towards
yourself or towards bystanders.
Flailing hoses can cause severe personal
injuries. Therefore always check
that hoses and their fastenings are
undamaged and have not come loose.
If universal rotational couplings (claw couplings)
are used, locking pins must be used together with
whip-check hose clips to provide protection in
the event of failure of the hose connection to the
device or of connections between hoses.
Ensure that the maximum pressure
indicated on the device is not exceeded.
Never carry air operated devices by the
hose.
Check the connections and supply lines.
All maintenance units, couplings and hoses must
be designed in accordance with the technical
data in respect of pressure and air volume.
Insufficient pressure impairs the functioning of the
device. Too high pressure can result in property
damage and personal injuries.
