Do not use the device if it is not fully
functional. Check that moving device
elements can operate properly and
do not jam. If the device or one of its control
elements is not in good order, it must be repaired
to prevent danger.
Do not use damaged tools. Before each
use, check the tool for damage and
wear. Only use undamaged tools.
Disconnect the air supply, before
adjusting the device settings, changing
accessories or if the device is not to be
used for a lengthy period. This prevents
unintentional starting of the device.
Keep unused devices out of the reach of
children. Never allow persons who are
unfamiliar with this type of device to use
it, nor anyone who has not read these
instructions. This type of device is dangerous if
used by inexperienced persons.
Keep cutting tools clean and sharp. Care-
fully maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting
edges stick less often and are easier to control.
During abrasive cutting-off, support
the workpiece so that the width of the
cutting slit remains constant or increases
throughout the cutting process.
If the abrasive jams in the cutting slit
during cutting-off, switch the device off
before releasing the abrasive. Before
continuing with the work, check that the abrasive
is still correctly secured and is not damaged.
Abrasive wheels and cut-off wheels
must not be used for face grinding
(exception: abrasive wheels for face
grinding). Do not use the device above the
maximum speed.

Special safety instructions
If the device, the workpiece or an
accessory breaks, fragments can be
thrown out at high speed.
Ensure that the tool used is compatible
with the device. The tool must match the
spindle and be safely clamped. Thread
type and size must match the device.
Ensure that the abrasive is securely
attached. Unsuitable tools rotate irregularly, vi-
brate intensely and can result in a loss of control
of the device.
Use only suitable accessories that are
recommended by the manufacturer and
are suitable for your work.
Ensure that the maximum operating
speed of the abrasive is equal to or
greater that the rated speed of the
spindle. Do not attach any brushes to the
device, if the speed of the device is greater than
the maximum permitted speed for brushes.
Check the protective guard on a regular
basis. The protective guard must be
securely attached to the device and in
good condition. It must be adjusted so
that only the smallest possible part of
the abrasive wheel is open and facing
towards the operator. The safety hood helps
to protect the operator from broken pieces, from
accidental contact with the abrasive and from
sparks.
Never place your hand near rotating
tools. Risk of injury!
When used for long periods, tools can
become hot. Moreover tools may be
sharp-edged.Wear protective gloves.
Both device operators and maintenance
personnel must be physically strong
enough to handle the size, weight and
power of the device. Risk of loss of control!
