7. Close the water dispensing door.
8. Unplug the power cable when not in use.
9. Empty out the drip tray when necessary.
DO NOT close the water dispensing door while water is being
dispensed, ALWAYS wait until it has finished dispensing.
ALWAYS close the water spout before removing the kettle from its
base. The dispenser will be hot to the touch after dispensing.
If the kettle is removed from its base before the boiling cycle is
complete, the kettle will switch off automatically.
If the kettle is switched on by mistake when it is empty, the
thermostat will automatically perform an on/off cycle to prevent
overheating. If this situation occurs, press the stop button "O" and
unplug the kettle immediately. Allow the kettle to cool down before
refilling it.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Before cleaning the appliance, allow it to cool down completely.
• Unplug the power base. Empty out the kettle and allow it to cool down
before cleaning it.
• Clean the outside of the appliance with a soft, damp cloth and dry it
carefully.
DO NOT use abrasive detergents.
DO NOT immerse the kettle or the power base in water or any other liquid.
• Rinse the drip tray with running water and dry it thoroughly.
DESCALING
In conditions of normal use, limescale builds up inside the kettle and coats
the stainless steel plate. The limescale build-up inside the kettle must be
removed.
• Pour 500 ml of water and 500 ml of white wine vinegar into the kettle and
press the power button "I" to boil. Leave the boiled mixture to stand for
several hours or overnight. Discard the mixture and refill the kettle to the
MAX level with fresh water. Boil the water and discard it.

• For a more noticeable build-up of limescale, use pure vinegar, boil and
leave overnight. Discard the vinegar and refill the kettle to the MAX level
with fresh water, boil and discard it.
• If there is still some limescale after using pure vinegar, use a specific
product for descaling kettles (for food use) and follow the manufacturer's
instructions.
NOTE:
• Limescale build-up can be reduced by removing the water after using the
kettle and refilling it when necessary.
• The descaling process must be repeated periodically.
• The use of filtered water can help extend the life of the appliance and
reduce limescale build-up.
